Superb food, great views and first rate accommodation. It's not, can we gently suggest, for those looking for a low-cost option.

Port Appin is on the west coast of Scotland, ten miles (eighteen or so by road) north of Oban on Loch Linnhe, just off the coast road to Ballachulish and just off the road past Castle Stalker.

The road into the village is a dead end. Ending here.

As you can see in the photographs there is ample parking for day visitors.
