The harbour is hidden in the inlet on the left and Anstruther is on the far horizon to the south-west.

The dovecote - officially named Crail Priory Doocot - was restored by Crail Preservation Society and others.

Back in the 1960s this area had a café, beach huts, deckchairs for hire, a paddling pool and decent music on the radio.
