Birthplace of John McDouall Stuart, Dysart, Fife
From the shoreline in Dysart, this is the birthplace of John McDouall Stuart, the surveyor who mapped out the entire length of the Stuart Highway in Australia.

The Stuart Highway runs from Port Augusta, north of Adelaide, to Darwin via Alice Springs and is 1,690 miles long through some of the harshest land on the planet.
