Irvine Harbour Arts Centre
Down in the Harbourside area, near the Magnum Centre. On the left is the Marina Inn and on the right the Harbour Arts Centre. That's the edge of the Ship Inn in the lower right corner.
This photo, like the one below, was taken in between the April showers, some of which can be seen running along through Irvine at the top of the picture. That's another one about to hit from the north just to the left of the River Irvine.
The M.V. Zenobia. Not a great photo, not a spectacular boat (no offence) but it's such a good name and it's so appealing that anyone searching on Google for the Queen of the Palmyrene Empire who conquered Egypt in 289 AD might end up here that it just had to be included.
And an update in the summer of 2011. Not aerial shots as there didn't seem to be any point in investing the time or effort, not to mention the cost. As you can see it's not good news and the boat is to all intents and purposes a wreck. Anyone fancy a restoration project?
