Kirkoswald - South Ayrshire
Having had various names over the years this is now called Souter's Inn and is run by
a local firm of hoteliers and restaurateurs.
As well as upgrades to the interior this group of buildings displays a most
impressive thatched roof, a detail of which can be seen below.
The nameplate over the north door of the inn and a corner of the thatch.
Again it's worth pointing out the sharpness and clarity of the photos.
This is a tiny - 1/80th - part of the image shown above and it's impressively sharp and clear.
Side by side with Souter's Inn is the building containing Gardengirl.
You can easily see the unrestricted access and ample parking spaces, as well as the
proximity to the Old Kirk across the road and to Souter Johnnie's cottage
50 metres to the left of this photo.
