The Turnberry Lighthouse & Ailsa Craig

This is another unique view.

This time it's of the Turnberry Lighthouse on its own, built on the site of Turnberry Castle, the birthplace of Robert Bruce, one-time King of Scotland.

This one was taken on a misty June afternoon from the edge of Maidens village by using a longer lens than usual, an 85mm f1.8 in this case.

The whole peninsula looking over the Firth of Clyde and showing the golf course, lighthouse, beach (often deserted) with from left to right the Isle of Arran, Bute, the Cumbraes and Hunterston on the horizon.

The full-sized images available to clients are about 70 times the size of the images shown here
and as you would expect they show a great deal more detail than the .jpg website versions.
Standard images are 5,000 pixels wide and ~50Mb in size.    Panoramas are much bigger.
