New flats by Beach Road, Barassie
Troon, South Ayrshire
This photo shows the location all the way from the seafront grassed area to Dundonald Hill about 4 miles away and was taken in low afternoon sunlight in late October, 2016.
The new block of flats currently being built on the site of the old Tower Hotel in Troon.
This second block is a lot bigger and will presumably be the same height and the same colour as the one next to it.
Progress in late March, 2017.

Opinions vary as to the choice of colour. Most people who were asked seem to think they're an eyesore, totally out of place within the grey and sandstone coloured buildings on the seafront.
Some also mentioned the height and flat roof as being out of line with the rest of the area.
Closer in. As you can see, most are sold and occupied.
Looking south, the colour does stand out from the crowd.
These photos were taken in February 2016 in low winter light. The guess is that they'll be even more prominent in summer sunlight.
Looking south, the location near the beach is obvious as is the extensive flooding of the car parks - such as they are - along the shoreline.
Face on and a little bit to the side.
