St Ninian's Chapel, Isle of Whithorn
Taken in August 2008.
From ground level the village is hidden from the chapel and vice-versa. The only way to show them both together is from the air. From these photos you can easily see the contours of the ground which hide the chapel from view from the north.
A couple of overhead views showing the layout of the ruins.
This angle shows the rugged coastline nearby.
In late afternoon light with the last of the day's tourists.
The village of Isle of Whithorn can be easily seen.
