St Andrews - Old Course
From the British Golf Museum, the Royal & Ancient and the 1st and 18th fairways all the way down past the Valley of Sin to Rusack's Hotel next to the 18th fairway. Hamilton Hall (being renovated) and the street called The Scores run off to the left of the image and lead up to the castle and cathedral.
The 1st and 18th fairways at St Andrews. From the R & A to the public road across the golf course, Granny Clark's Wynd.
The 1st and 18th fairways at St Andrews. This photo was taken in soft early spring light, a short while before the 2005 Open.
This detail extract from one of the above photos shows the Kinkell Braes caravan site and, on the horizon, the Castle Course and the golf centre and hotel at St Andrews Bay, the newest courses added to the town's world class list of facilities.
