The National Burns Monument - Mauchline, Ayrshire

This is located on the north edge of the town of Mauchline, Ayrshire, and was built to commemorate
the life of Robert Burns who lived and worked in the town and on Mossgiel Farm, nearby.

From slightly further away. That's the A76 just behind the monument - the main trunk road from
Kilmarnock to Dumfries.

From further away you can see the town of Mauchline down the hill. These photos were taken for
Burns' Night, 25th January, 2007.
