Loch Doon, South Ayrshire

This was the Roundhouse at the north end of Loch Doon, run by Brian, the guy in the white tee-shirt.

An excellent place to stop in for fresh ground coffee and light snacks.

From closer in.

The dam, a few yards away. Looking north you can see the road winding down into the valley and the town of Dalmellington a few miles away.

This is a section from a sign for tourists telling of the history of the place.

It's probably a good plan to take serious issue with the idiot who can't spell the word "aerial" properly. There will now follow a ten minute rant about the education system...
