To update the earlier photo (included below) here are a couple of recent shots of the development
of this site. It seems that the work has stopped and nothing is being done to complete the houses
now being built, but that could be wrong. These were taken in May 2009.

As you can probably see, all that remains of the original building is the front wall and even that's
in pretty poor shape with doorways knocked out and window mullions missing. It has the look of a film
set, a dummy wall with nothing behind it.

This earlier photo was taken before the work began.
Technically, the ruins of... This was the old workhouse back in the 19th century and since then
it's had a chequered career and it's now lying in ruins awaiting "development".
