Ravenspark Hospital, Irvine
To update the earlier photo (included below) here are a couple of recent shots of the development of this site.
It seems that the work has stopped and nothing is being done to complete the houses now being built, but that could be wrong.
As you can probably see, all that remains of the original building is the front wall and even that's in pretty poor shape with doorways knocked out and window mullions missing.
It has the look of a film set, a dummy wall with nothing behind it.
This earlier photo was taken before the work began.
Technically, the ruins of... This was the old workhouse back in the 19th century and since then it's had a chequered career and it's now lying in ruins awaiting "development".
The full-sized images available to clients are about 70 times the size of the images shown here
and as you would expect they show a great deal more detail than the .jpg website versions.
Standard images are 5,000 pixels wide and ~50Mb in size. Panoramas are much bigger.
