The Falkirk Wheel
Looking north from off to one side of the wheel. You can easily see the structure of the wheel and the boats in both the top and bottom canals, ready for the wheel to revolve and swap them over.
This view looks directly along the top (Union) canal. You can easily see the main basin on the left and the glass-walled visitor centre on the right. This angle shows the repetition of the semi-circular and circular patterns, not at all obvious from ground level. The full-sized images available to clients are about 70 times the size of the images shown here and as you would expect they show a great deal more detail than the .jpg website versions. Standard images are 5,000 pixels wide and ~50Mb in size. Panoramas are much bigger. Click this line to view the Image Quality Sample page.
