Crossraguel Abbey, Ayrshire
Ayrshire's best kept medieval secret.
This is the most complete French Clunaic Abbey left in the UK. While most other old abbeys are little more than a few stones in the grass marking where the walls were, Crossraguel has many walls standing and several complete rooms, with vaulted ceilings and roofs still intact.
It's well worth a visit - just south of Maybole, Ayrshire on the A77.
The full-sized images available to clients are about 70 times the size of the images shown here
and as you would expect they show a great deal more detail than the .jpg website versions.
Standard images are 5,000 pixels wide and ~50Mb in size. Panoramas are much bigger.
